I’ve always found Alyssa Milano incredibly beautiful, even if I find her acting mediocre at best. It’s been awhile since she’s had any notable projects (the last one being Charmed, if you call that notable - ick!), so it maybe quite interesting to see her new movie, Wisegal.

I’ve always found Alyssa Milano incredibly beautiful, even if I find her acting mediocre at best. It’s been awhile since she’s had any notable projects (the last one being Charmed, if you call that notable - ick!), so it maybe quite interesting to see her new movie, Wisegal.

If you’re wondering what it’s about, think Wiseguys with a gal at the helm. In a nutshell, Alyssa plays Patty Montanari, a widow, who ends up working for the mob to support herself and her young sons. I know, it might have been easier to get a job as a secretary or a shop girl or whatever - but then, there’d be no movie to begin with. But I digress. Anyhow, predictably, our heroine wants out, but we all know the only way out of the mob is to go “swim with the fishes” (I’m a Godfather fan, shoot me), and of course, Patty doesn’t want that. It should be interesting to see how she’ll get out of it.

Yes, I know, it’s just another mafia movies. But considering it’s Alyssa Milano in a high-powered Mafiosa role, we can’t miss the delish clothes and (drumroll, please) jewelry!

I’m not sure who designed the fabulous gold cuffs she’s wearing on the poster, but it could possibly be something from her own clothing and jewelry line, Touch by Alyssa Milano. It’s a bit too much, if you ask me. I’d prefer something a bit more understated and more elegant. But that’s just me. But then, I don’t look half as good as Alyssa, so I probably couldn’t get away with that clunker. What do you wise gals think?

We see Cate Blanchett most of the time as a great actress with an equally great complexion. I’ve always wanted to rip off her creamy yet translucent skin and wear it around myself. If only that would be possible. I mean, she’s always stunning anywhere she goes, including red carpets. No matter what she wears, her skin is always her greatest accessory. Except of course for the emerald green baubles she wore at the Oscars this year. I sooo love the teardrop earrings by Lorraine Schwartz and I have something as fabulous and as elegant which I picked up for only $59.95. Okay, so let’s go back to Cate. I wasn’t that hot for the matching necklace, though. Of course I’d take it if she’d hand it over to me but I’ll flat-out reject that dull Dries Van Noten satin gown. Uh, and maybe the baby bump. I’m not quite in that place just yet.

Moving on, we’ve seen Cate Blanchett as convincingly blue-blooded and regal when she played Queen Elizabeth. We’ve also seen her transform into a wild-haired man on that critically-acclaimed Bob Dylan documentary, I’m Not There. But what we haven’t seen is how she takes on the face of Hannibal Lecter right inside her own home, while making sandwiches for her kids. Ok, ok. I’m being a bit melodramatic here. This is actually how Cate gets her youthful looks and porcelain-like skin. It’s the cream she applies made with the Japanese drink, sake. It’s actually manufactured by Procter & Gamble and called the SK-II. She’s been reportedly using the product line for 7 years now. Is that so? I’m getting it too.

Penelope Cruz was all delish at the Oscars with her fabulously cut but dull-colored gown and brightly colored gems. I’m no big fan of hers, so I was surprised at how willing this stylish Spanish is to go through extreme lengths as an actress. After the Vanilla Sky fiasco, I thought that Ms. Cruz was totally overrated and stopped paying attention. I only really look at her every time she walks red carpets because, well, this is what I do best.

This year’s Oscars show Penelope with claret-colored jewels from Chopard. I admire her good taste in jewels, particularly because I have a pair similar to hers. Her bold style isn’t only limited to colored gems, apparently. According to contactmusic.com, Penelope didn’t shave her legs for two weeks, put on thick make-up and horrible false teeth; all this to play the role of an unattractive, impoverished woman in the 2004 Italian drama, Don’t Move.

Well, she did and Penelope moved on to play another bold scene, this time in an upcoming Woody Allen film. She’s teaming up with hottie Scarlett Johansson to fire up silver screen with a hot and heavy lesbian sex scene. According to sources, Woody Allen is targeting the love scene to be one of the most erotic scenes in history. Maybe it’s high time I start watching her films again. I sure hope it will fire up the fans the way her gemstones did me.

For the first time ever, one of the sexiest men alive brought a date to the 2008 Academy Awards. Her name is Sarah Larson and I personally think she’s hot. She looked perfect at George’s side, and I’m sure I’m not the only one drooling with envy right now. I’d like to be bitchy and catty and petty about Sarah snagging the god Clooney, but I just can’t. She’s just so damn beautiful even with that lackluster, clingy Valentino gown she wore, although it did give justice to her great figure.

I wasn’t even disdainful about her total lack of bling that night. I mean, with George by her side and in her life and - OMG! - in her bed, who would want diamonds? Uh… I think maybe I would. But Clooney would be my priority, dazzle be damned. Wink, wink.

Anyhoo, I never thought they’d go as far as the Oscar red carpet, but after that night, anything could be possible, including wedding bells. I mean George is HOT, but he’s middle-aged. So I won’t sour grape that much when Sarah will finally take him off the market. I’d better forget about my obsessions with jewels for the time being and head off to Vegas to do a stint as a waitress. Maybe the fates have the same destiny in store for me.

But until such time comes, I can’t be bitter about Sarah claiming George for herself. I’ll just settle for second best, which is a pair of similar drop earrings, but ten times more fabulous than what she wore at the Oscars.

He made the stars shine and continues to do so. He’s Harry Winston, and although he died way back in December 8, 1978 at the golden age of 82, his name is still very popular in and out of the blingbling-loving set to this day. I am in awe of the man’s diamonds. Owning a lot of Harry Winston jewelries is one of the ultimate goals of my existence.

His company, Harry Winston, Inc. started its glittering trail in New York City in 1932. Today, you can trace the trail from Beverly Hills, to Tokyo, to Geneva, to Paris and other major cities around the world. During awards ceremonies and other high-profile events, there’s always a Harry Winston present.

I, myself, could never forget how stunning Michelle Williams looked during the 78th Annual Academy Awards. She was wearing a canary-yellow Vera Wang gown that complemented her porcelain-like complexion. And that Harry Winston necklace - wow! Until now I can’t believe how magnificent it looked and yet, it made the classic glam look perfect.

And who could forget Jada Pinkett-Smith back in 2006 in her gorgeous metallic Valentino gown and her Harry Winston jewels? I want those - and her husband, too! I may be getting whimsical about Will Smith, but not on the jewelry. I don’t have millions to spare but I can get my own. Who says you need to be a celebrity to look as glam as Michelle and Jada? I can work it, babe, and feel the part too. And what a small price to pay.

I’ve always been fascinated with Cameron Diaz. She always manages to pull total sophistication while maintaining an endearingly down-to-earth persona. From the silver screen to the red carpet, Cameron just oozes with confidence. That’s probably why she never hesitates to show her goofy side. She was hilarious in The Sweetest Thing and There’s Something About Mary. Those were my favorites.

Speaking of favorites, I always anticipate her latest self-reinvention. Last year, she was a brunette at the Oscars and she looked fabulous. This year, she’s back as a presenter and this time sporting a blondish, tousled ‘do. Her barely-there makeup and her usual strapless gown, this year made by Dior, complemented each other like Romeo and Juliet.

And who can miss those sparkling Bvlgari ring and earrings? She may have forgotten the jeweler’s name at the Red Carpet and had to ask her assistant about it, but I’m sure the folks at Bvlgari will forgive Cam for the boo-boo. Those sparklers are worth a lot of money but Cameron made them look like they’re a hundred million dollars with the way she carried them. My point is, it’s not how expensive the gem or the dress is, it’s about the attitude, baby. So with that in mind, I think Miss Diaz can wear this and people would think it’s 50 grand when in truth, it’s less than 50 bucks! And that dazzling ring she wore? I’ve found something as fabulous right here and now it’s in a great display section, right here around my finger!

I personally think Chopard glared way brighter than all the flashes of the paparazzi cameras combined together during last year’s Academy Awards night. Helen Miren, Kate Winslet, Penelope Cruz, Queen Latifah, Naomi Watts, and Steve Carrell were the high-profile guests who?s got a Chopard somewhere in their ears, neck, or wrist. As for the after party, well, the list was longer: Sir Elton John, Victoria Beckham, and Zhang Ziyi were among those spotted.

This damsel has heard through the grapevine that Chopard was paying lump sums of cash to high profile celebrities to become walking endorsers of some of its pieces. I don’t know about you, but I’d give up Harry Winston anytime just to wear Chopard and get paid at the same time.

I mean, Chopard’s not exactly my favorite, but I do love some of the Chopard-inspired pieces enough to purchase them. I especially noticed Hilary Swank’s earrings during the 2005 Oscar’s. I hated her outfit, but loved the danglers. But since I couldn’t get Chopard to pay me to wear them, much less lend me a pair, I decided to purchase equally fabulous imitations here. So as usual, I’m still at my dazzling best and my friends can?t wait to follow suit. Even they are quite pleased at the Chopard-inspired watches. We all can’t believe how affordable and stunningly elegant they looked! The pendants are red-carpet worthy, too. I can’t wait to hit a swanky club and dazzle the fellas.

I’m drooling with envy whenever I remember Cameron Diaz during the Costume Institute Gala. The stunning beauty appeared even more stunning, if that was possible. She’s was draped in a fuchsia silk organza dress made by John Galliano from Dior. Personally, I think the highlight of her look that evening was the turquoise stone jewelry made by none other than the great Fred Leighton.

Getting my hands on a similar set was a breeze. For way, way, below the cost of Fred’s turquoise, we ladies won’t be deprived of celebrity-like glitz and glam. You can find cheap but genuine - yes, GENUINE! - turquoise jewelry. Pulling off Cam’s look won’t give you wrinkles, promise.

Anyhow, being unknown AND fabulous is totally fun for me. But I have to admit that I sometimes want to give the tip of my hot-pink manicured nails in exchange for: J-Lo’s 15.80 carat rose-cut diamond earrings and her 18-carat gold and diamond necklace. Spotted on the 2007 Oscar’s, those blings were memorable! I didn’t dig Mrs. Marc Anthony’s dress that night, but I do want similar sparklers.

And if you’re a husband wanting to pull-off a Michael Douglas, you don’t have to fret about the cost of mom-and-baby matching bling-blings. Everyone in Hollywood buzzed at the diamond crucifix necklace Mr. Douglas bought for Baby Cara’s at Fred Leighton’s in Manhattan. Of course, the lovely wife got a matching item, too. My friend Toby did exactly the same thing. His wife was really thrilled, the baby daughter looked adorable, and Toby’s paternal responsibilities don’t include changing soiled diapers at all.

I’ve never been a huge fan of Rihanna’s ‘Umbrella’, but I wasn’t surprised when it won the best rap song collaboration either. For the past year, the “ella, ella, ella” chant has been echoing in my head a million times.

I’m not a fan of her uber-short and trendy jet-black bob, either. I know, she’s been on a roll since she drastically changed her fuddy-duddy image, having been brunette, blond, curly, and straight in the blink of an eye. The current ‘do looks good on her, though, but I think glorious long locks are more my thing.

But I was dazzled when she strutted out into the red carpet during the 2008 Grammy Awards held at the Staples Center in LA. I heard she was one of the most anticipated celebrities to arrive that night and she didn’t disappoint those breathless gawkers who can’t wait to catch a glimpse. I’m not one of them, but she definitely took my breath away in her bright purple Zac Posen knee-length dress, Jimmy Choo “Adora” shoes, and last but DEFINITELY not the least, Chopard jewels. Drool. And that bangle she was wearing? I found something fabulously similar that I might be wearing for quite awhile.

Anyhow, her Grammy night came to a crashing end when she got involved in a vehicular accident. It happened after she drove away from the Def Jam after-party. The glam gal’s car was reportedly hit by another vehicle. Fortunately, Rih-Rih and her driver were not injured. Oh well, considering how she shone that night, from the Red Carpet to the acceptance speech and beyond, that minor collision wasn’t probably enough to spoil her elation. And rumored boyfriend Chris Brown was probably there to kiss her fears away.

Everyone loves Jessica Alba. Why, it’s impossible not to. She’s smokin’ hot and incredibly sexy, while still remaining as cute as a button. Even when playing the villainess in the American remake of the Hongkong shocker, The Eye. As the recipient of an eye transplant, Jessica’s character not only sees the light again, but also the recently departed and the grim reapers escorting them to the netherworld, which (quite understandably) drives her bonkers. Her large, dark eyes are perfect for the role, but she’s really quite lame at looking scared. But then, anybody can forgive such a lackluster performance because she’s just too cute.

Besides, she has more things in her mind right now. She’s recently gotten engaged to longtime boyfriend, hottie Cash Warren, and they’re expecting their first baby in May or June of this year. Pregnancy seems to agree with Jessica because though she’s already starting to show, she still looks incredibly fabulous, often spotted traipsing around town clad in jeans, t-shirts, and simple jewelry from Robyn Rhodes, one of her favorite designers.

Rhode’s pieces complement Jessica’s devil-may-care style with free-flowing designs made from various materials and adorned with both precious and semi-precious gems. Eva Longoria, Kristen Bell, and Lucy Liu, to name a few, have also been spotted in Rhode’s Beverly Hills boutique in one of their periodic shopping sprees (aaahhhh, the good life!).

With jewelry like this, it’s easy enough to stand out even in the most casual outfit. And you wonder why stars always get noticed.
