Oscar Reminiscin’ with Harry Winston
He made the stars shine and continues to do so. He’s Harry Winston, and although he died way back in December 8, 1978 at the golden age of 82, his name is still very popular in and out of the blingbling-loving set to this day. I am in awe of the man’s diamonds. Owning a lot of Harry Winston jewelries is one of the ultimate goals of my existence.
His company, Harry Winston, Inc. started its glittering trail in New York City in 1932. Today, you can trace the trail from Beverly Hills, to Tokyo, to Geneva, to Paris and other major cities around the world. During awards ceremonies and other high-profile events, there’s always a Harry Winston present.
I, myself, could never forget how stunning Michelle Williams looked during the 78th Annual Academy Awards. She was wearing a canary-yellow Vera Wang gown that complemented her porcelain-like complexion. And that Harry Winston necklace - wow! Until now I can’t believe how magnificent it looked and yet, it made the classic glam look perfect.
And who could forget Jada Pinkett-Smith back in 2006 in her gorgeous metallic Valentino gown and her Harry Winston jewels? I want those - and her husband, too! I may be getting whimsical about Will Smith, but not on the jewelry. I don’t have millions to spare but I can get my own. Who says you need to be a celebrity to look as glam as Michelle and Jada? I can work it, babe, and feel the part too. And what a small price to pay.
