I personally think Chopard glared way brighter than all the flashes of the paparazzi cameras combined together during last year’s Academy Awards night. Helen Miren, Kate Winslet, Penelope Cruz, Queen Latifah, Naomi Watts, and Steve Carrell were the high-profile guests who?s got a Chopard somewhere in their ears, neck, or wrist. As for the after party,well, the list was longer: Sir Elton John, Victoria Beckham, and Zhang Ziyi were among those spotted.

This damsel has heard through the grapevine that Chopard was paying lump sums of cash to high profile celebrities to become walking endorsers of some of its pieces. I don’t know about you, but I’d give up Harry Winston anytime just to wear Chopard and get paid at the same time.

I mean, Chopard’s not exactly my favorite, but I do love some of the Chopard-inspired pieces enough to purchase them. I especially noticed Hilary Swank’s earrings during the 2005 Oscar’s. I hated her outfit, but loved the danglers. But since I couldn’t get Chopard to pay me to wear them, much less lend me a pair, I decided to purchase equally fabulous imitations here. So as usual, I’m still at my dazzling best and my friends can?t wait to follow suit. Even they are quite pleased at the Chopard-inspired watches. We all can’t believe how affordable and stunningly elegant they looked! The pendants are red-carpet worthy, too. I can’t wait to hit a swanky club and dazzle the fellas.
