Well, I have to agree with most of the fashion critiques: Eva Longoria made a splash at the Red Carpet during the 2008 SAG Awards. She really worked the old-Hollywood glamour-and-modern-sensuality combination. For some, it was the sophisticatedly seductive Naeem Kahn cowl-neck gown that made her one of the best-dressed celebrities. For others, it was the nostalgic hairstyle that made her the darling of the crowd. For this damsel, as always, it was the dramatic earrings.

The Desperate Housewives star had on daring drop earrings. If I’m not mistaken, the upper portions are studded with diamonds and red teardrop gemstones dramatically dangle under her ears. It seems that no one’s mentioned the designer, but I don’t care that much. What’s the use? Whether it’s a Winston or a Leighton, I can barely afford it.

I may not have Red Carpets to strut on, but as a lover of anything fabulous that shine and sparkle, I wasted no time finding something similar. I know that Eva’s danglers would cost me an arm and a leg and a year’s worth of salon visits, but my 25-dollar version is equally as stunning. Called Juliette’s Ruby Drop Dangles, it’s a genuine .925 Sterling Silver with dangles in a juicy shade of red. Glam!

Since earrings are my favorite kind of jewelry, I can’t help but notice that a lot of celebrities at this year’s SAG had on fabulous pairs. Jenna Fischer may have looked like a model for studded denim (I love her but what was she thinking?) but I wanted to snatch off her extra long drop earrings and wear them myself.
